I was just wondering if anyone owns a Volkswagen Eos, or knows anything about Volkswagen. I usually deal with Toyota and my celica is pretty reliable, but im just looking for something different. Since the Eos just came out, theres no major problems that have been reported yet. And I was wondering if anyone has been dissapointed by Volkswagen. I dont want to spend all this money on a car if I cant trust the brand.

The Eos is a new car built on an entirely new platform, so there hasnt been much information about long term reliability. It's initial design was as a retractable hard top convertable, so it's not like they took a Golf or Rabbit and hacked the top off of it.

it comes with a choice of the 2.0l turbo charged 4 cylinder engine or the 3.2l VR6 (which is VW's hot rod motor and powers the R32).

I do not own one, and probably never will, but i have read lots about it. It's a very attractive car and the hard top (with a sunroof!) is really cool.

check out Volkswagen's web site, you can "build your own" and it gives you all the information you could ever want (and probably more). http://www.vw.com/eos/index.html

you can also search the forums at www.vwvortex.com ( http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerosearch ) about the Eos. i'm sure there are people there who own them and could attest to it's reliability and real world performance.

good luck!

Well a celica and eos are very different. You can tell by price that it was made for more expensive tastes, compared to vw's value edition jetta, rabbit, etc. Since the Eos just came out, the best way to ensure your car will have good service is to make sure you have a good warranty on it-extended probably. They look like pretty cool cars, but like I said-they are in a totally different price bracket than the Celica. Also, when you go to check out a dealership, make sure you find one that you are comfortable with and has good customer service. Some dealerships are really good to work with, others they call "stealerships" and don't have very good customer service so its such a pain to deal with them. If you find one with good customer service, it makes it a lot easier to deal with and you won't be so frustrated if you do have a problem. Or if you're still unsure, check out what they have available in terms of leases so at least at the end of a lease, if you dont like the car-you can turn it in and get something different, if you do-you can buy it outright. Good luck!

Volkswagen has had spotty reliability for the last ten years or more. Whether or not the Eos will be reliable has yet to be seen. Here is an article on the car to check out

I seriously doubt you will have the same reliability with the Eos as you did with the Celica, but it won't be horrible by any means.

My brother replaced into pondering the Audi A3 Convertible. That and the Volvo C30. i imagine you ought to attempt pressure both, evaluate what you acquire on your funds. The EOS is larger, yet ive in elementary words ever considered 2 on the line, so theyre extremely uncommon and that i wager particular. Audi A3's are extremely prevalent although. Its down on your human being opinion and determination, after all: youre going to be driving it!
