You are sounding like the people of old who don't know any better than to blame the carburetor. Carb-fuel injection=same thing.
You can't check and you would not know what to look for. I don't know and don't care. I got a general idea what it should be if I was in remote Siberia, but I am not there.
Easiest way to check,...give to the dealership shop and go someplace else for four hours or so.
Also, when was the last time you changed the air filter? And the fuel filter? Never done...8 years now, yeah it can't hurt. Are all the vacuum hoses connected tightly.(and not cracked on the ends)
Then the valve gaps will be checked as well as a compression check. All this is done before they even look at the injectors at the dealership.
Glow plugs are never the problem. You changed them. Did you check the fusible link? What is that? Alright, into the shop, for you have missed simple stuff.
In the summer time, even if only 1 works, you will not see a difference in starting speed. It starts instantly. Keep your foot off the pedal. Diesels start best this way.
Once it has started the glow plugs are switched off. Maybe also change the gas station you get fuel from.
Battery could also be weak. If it is less than 1000amp and 4 year old, it is iffy.
Could be most likely that you have air in one of the lines and all that needs to be done is get the air out of the line(for that air pocket blocks the fuel from going to one injector) Let them do that. If the car has ever run dry. most likely that is the problem. (that is why you never let the tank go to low "E or fumes" You cannot drive the air out by just driving it alot.
Also when was the last time the timing belt was changed. (Every 60,000 miles) If you are at the dealership, let them do it, for they will have to check injector timing after the belt is replaced.(to 1/100 of a degree) not by ear.
You cannot check injectors yourself. It is a complete removal thing and is put into an injector spray pattern tester tool setup. Not an eyeball thingy.
Has your "pine tree" been changed.?
Lost your lucky "Rabbits foot?" It was unlucky for the rabbit.
