You are sounding like the people of old who don't know any better than to blame the carburetor. Carb-fuel injection=same thing.

You can't check and you would not know what to look for. I don't know and don't care. I got a general idea what it should be if I was in remote Siberia, but I am not there.

Easiest way to check,...give to the dealership shop and go someplace else for four hours or so.

Also, when was the last time you changed the air filter? And the fuel filter? Never done...8 years now, yeah it can't hurt. Are all the vacuum hoses connected tightly.(and not cracked on the ends)

Then the valve gaps will be checked as well as a compression check. All this is done before they even look at the injectors at the dealership.

Glow plugs are never the problem. You changed them. Did you check the fusible link? What is that? Alright, into the shop, for you have missed simple stuff.

In the summer time, even if only 1 works, you will not see a difference in starting speed. It starts instantly. Keep your foot off the pedal. Diesels start best this way.

Once it has started the glow plugs are switched off. Maybe also change the gas station you get fuel from.

Battery could also be weak. If it is less than 1000amp and 4 year old, it is iffy.

Could be most likely that you have air in one of the lines and all that needs to be done is get the air out of the line(for that air pocket blocks the fuel from going to one injector) Let them do that. If the car has ever run dry. most likely that is the problem. (that is why you never let the tank go to low "E or fumes" You cannot drive the air out by just driving it alot.

Also when was the last time the timing belt was changed. (Every 60,000 miles) If you are at the dealership, let them do it, for they will have to check injector timing after the belt is replaced.(to 1/100 of a degree) not by ear.

You cannot check injectors yourself. It is a complete removal thing and is put into an injector spray pattern tester tool setup. Not an eyeball thingy.

Has your "pine tree" been changed.?

Lost your lucky "Rabbits foot?" It was unlucky for the rabbit.

Have you checked the Condition of the fuel non return valve In between the filter and tandem pump. p/n 165201542B these can fail causing the fuel to draw back to the filter.

The only way you can test the injectors is to have a compression test carried out.

The Glow plug relay could be faulty making the glow plugs switch off too quick.

many people have problems over revving on their start up, but i have never expeienced this problem without it having to do with the glow plugs. i seriously think you should check your glow plugs again if this problem is occuring.

it may appear were when you have got it started white smoke may start to come out of the exhaust. this may be because it is old. if this does happen check it with an engineer. you could also try changing all the temperature sensors close to the thermostat.

i think you should check the glowplugs again first and this has no affect take it to a garage because it may need full service for it may be worn out.

thank you. i hope this helps. i any questions find in any way to comment me.

okay...first thing first....when was the last time that you changed out your injectors....you should change them out when the manufacture tells you to in your book...diesels make a lot of carbon when they get old....second you can take out all your injectors and bring them to an auto service store or shop and ask them if they can pop test them...whe they pop test them they can see the spray pattern and see which one is leaking which one isn't spraying right and see if any of them are clogged...check all your wiring for your ignition system...vibration over the various years may have started to cut your wiring and it may be shorting out...also check your fuel filters....it may sound dumb but usually this is the case...if your fuel filters are dirty and you haven't changed them for awhile then you are sending little piece of sediment through your fuel system and clogging your injectors...simple things make bigger problems...you should always replace filters and plugs, wires and misc. things when you are recommended to...it makes things so much easier...I hope this helps and good luck.

if you have one glow plug not working it will make bad starting, injectors have nothing to do with it,so ,get them checked out,if you find one or more off, change them all because they are all the same age.

take them out one at a time, then get someone to turn the key while you look at the injector. if diesel sprays out then that injector is working, so put it back in and take out the next one.

though if it is just trouble starting but running fine the rest of the time I would check your glow plugs first

Lab scope or there's a checker that flashes when the injector pulses.
