The exterior and interior pretty much sums it up, go to vw.com and check it out. The chassis is pretty much the same and the engine choices are exactly the same, If you want more luxery, thenn the CC does offer more comfort and luxury items.

Answer to question 1: Part 1: (quote) "Conflicting U.S. and European laws forced Volkswagen to launch its new Passat as a 2001 model, despite the old Passat having been sold since the fall of 2000 as a 2001 model also. To deal with this, Volkswagen's marketing people have dubbed the new Passat a "2001.5" model, a convention we'll follow to avoid confusion. Rush to your dealer and you may see the Passat being sold as a 2001.5; we view this as a 2002 model, however. We expect few changes between 2001.5 and 2002, except for the availability of an exciting new engine." Part 2: (quote) "In mid-2001, the Passat received a facelift, involving a minor tweaking of the styling and some mechanical alteration, commonly known as the B5.5. Although some of the body panels remained unchanged, new projector-optic headlights, bumpers, tail lights, and chrome trim gave the car a fresher look." Answer to question 2: 1.8T = 1.8 liter, or 1781 cc displacement (Liter = "L", "T" = Turbo) Turbocharged version. 148 horsepower, 155 lb·ft max. torque. (a bit faster car) 1.8 L = 1.8 liter or 1781 cc displacement (Liter = "L") No turbo, 123 horsepower, 124 lb·ft max. torque. Hope this helps. pat

the CC is a 4-door couple which is based off of the passat chassis. the CC is much better looking and has a slightly more refined interior while sharing the same dash with the passat. the trade off is are you willing to buy a sleeker, sexier, slightly less practical saloon over a good-looking, but not-as-good-looking more practical saloon?

Well, on top of what have been said above, the CC only seats 2 people at the back (thats why its called a coupe). The back centre seat cannot sit people. The CC dimension is a little wider and lower than the Passat.

The spiffy interior and exterior in the CC are different from the regular passat. Everything else is the same, just looks. The Passat is more practical as it has more space but the cc is more stylish.

Where to begin? Inside and outside, the CC is a step up for Volkswagen.

As compared to the classic Passat, the CC is a bit more than an inch longer and wider, and is nearly three inches lower. This gives the CC a distinctive Coupe look with the convenience of four doors.

Especially distinctive are the flowing lines of the car’s side profile. The roof sweeps a very flat curve from the A pillars to far beyond the C pillar toward the rear.

Designers speak of a so-called tornado line beneath the window. In the case of the CC, it forms a visual connection from the front wheel wells to the taillights; its three-dimensional expression delivers a plus in tension – and that may be taken literally with regard to the stability of the external metal skin.

More dominant than on any other Volkswagen, the radiator grill with its two cross-struts and centrally placed VW logo extends between the trapezoidal headlamps. The lower borders of the air inlets are formed by a sports car spoiler that optimizes the downforce of the CC at higher speeds. An indicator of the CC’s excellent overall aerodynamic qualities is its drag coefficient of 0.29.

The rear end of the CC is also marked by unique design.

A styling trick makes the window appear even larger and the trunk lid even smaller: the trunk lid section that directly borders the glass has a black painted cross-stripe in glass look. From a purely visual perspective, it extends the glass look and thereby underscores the dynamic character of the CC.

Newly developed for the CC is an electrically actuated Panorama vent sunroof. The transparent roof is 30 inches long and 44 inches wide. This means that it covers the entire frontal area up to the B pillars.

The cockpit design of the classic Passat is already considered exceptionally sporty, elegant and high-end.The CC is a pure four-seater and the coupe philosophy is reflected in the interior in this seat layout too. Standard features include a center armrest between the two rear seats and an additional storage compartment. This compartment has two variable beverage holders witha sliding cover to close them. When the center armrest is folded down, a pass-through feature makes it possible to stow longer objects such as skis into the trunk area.
